You Love WHO??

My hubby, Dustin, serves on a local youth football and cheerleading board. He's the Vice President of Operations. I know. That sounds important.

Last week, the board had quite the drama going on and Dustin was constantly on the phone, much to my joy. He was off the phone long enough to watch our girls sing in their VBS production but ended up back on the phone before we could make it out of the parking lot to dinner.

We pull up to the restaurant and he drops me and the girls off at the door. He makes it to the table, sits down and his phone starts ringing again. It's TB, the President, calling him. Again. He looks at me and says, "I'll tell her that I'll call her back after dinner." He talks to her for a minute and he says he will call her back when we're done. Another minute goes by and this is what I hear him say: "OK, love ya, bye!" His. exact. words. Now, I am laughing hysterically and he's looking at me a little puzzled. And this is how the rest of the conversation went down:

Me: Oh my gosh! You just said, love ya, bye to TB!

Dustin: What?? No, I didn't!

The girls in unison: YES YOU DID!!!

Me: Oh, yes you did. Call her back and ask her!

Dustin: She would have called me back by now.

Me: Give me the phone. I'll call her back. She sooooo heard you!

And the razzing went on!

~~A little back story on me and TB. I have served on this board for the past 3 years, 2 of them with TB. To say the least, she is not my favorite person in the world. Let's just say we *clash* a bit.~~

The next night, we saw TB and the first words out of my mouth were: "Did you hear what Dustin said to you last night on the phone?" and she was like "Oh yeah! I wanted to call him back but I was laughing too hard!"

And the razzing continues.................................

It's like calling your DH your child's name or your brothers. Too funny!

Too funny! My dad does this all the time and then gets so embarrassed about it..I think he's just used to talking to my mom or my brother and I on the phone. Thanks for your post on my blog...that horse place you mentioned isn't to far from me actually. Maybe to far to drive during the week but not on a weekend...we may just check it out! Thanks! I'm going to add you to my blog-roll, hope you odn't mind!

That's so funny!
I had someone do that to me once and I won't say who. I knew it was out of habit because when he spoke to his wife everyday on the phone he said those words to the "T". We laughed about it for a long time.
I hope you all laugh about it for a long time too.

By the way love the new picture of you on the side, you look great!
